Located just 15 minutes from New Zealand's most exclusive vacation resort, Queenstown, Stoneridge Estate offers a unique and historical Queenstown wedding venue and luxury accommodation venue in a romantic and tranquil setting. Have your wedding ceremony inside the Lodge or outside in the the beautiful water gardens, vineyard or amidst the stone ruins on the property. The breathtaking views of Lake Hayes and the South Alp's mountain range beyond from both inside Stoneridge Lodge and the surrounding grounds make for a multitude of superb photographic opportunities. Contructed of local schist rock and all recycled materials, including Welsh slate and timbers, Stoneridge Lodge is unique in both its architectural design and history. The Lodge's "old worldly' character harmonizes perfectly with the majestic alpine terrain.
The Lodge itself consists of four beautifully appointed furnished guest rooms with ensuite bathroom and private balcony. This includes a Honeymoon Cottage complete with cosy open fire and outdoor hot tub - perfect for couples seeking a romantic retreat or those on a Queenstown weddingmoon/honeymoon vacation. On the cool winter nights, relax in the comfort of a cosy open fire and sample a glass of wine from the vineyard. Massive church beams frame the ceiling above with a hint of gothic decor. Enoy a relaxing spa under the stars by candle light in the rustic hot tub amidst an idyllic setting. Perhaps unwind with mulled wine in front of the outdoor fire, whilst watching the radiant crimson sun set behind magnificent snow capped mountains. For the long warm summer days and evenings, dine alfresco by the pool and savour a sumptuous meal prepared especially by their talented Chef or enjoy a relaxing pool side BBQ.
Stoneridge Estate also offers a stunning purpose built function and event venue. The Hayes Room is rustic, constructed from recycled iron, hardwood beams and stone and opens to a pond and garden area with magnificent panoramic lake and mountain views. There is a large open fireplace, full bar facilities, an area for a band/dancing and can seat approximately 80 guests. Adjacent to the Hayes Room is the Boardroom suitable for groups between 6 and 18. Beneath the Hayes Room is the Cellar suited for groups of between 6 and 50. Stoneridge Estate Wedding Package Inclusions:
The following wedding package includes all of the basic requirements to get married at Stoneridge Estate in Queenstown, New Zealand. Please select any other services you may require such as photography, videography, flowers, hair & make-up etc from the list below.
- Arrangement of your New Zealand Marriage License including application fee. Your New Zealand wedding planner will submit the application for your New Zealand Marriage License on your behalf prior to your arrival to New Zealand. This means there is no waiting for the application to be processed once you arrive in New Zealand (normally you would need to wait 3 business days if you were doing this yourself) – it is just a simple case of signing the declaration and uplifting your license once you arrive in New Zealand.
- Pre-wedding consultation including transport and assistance to uplift your New Zealand Marriage License. New Zealand law requires that at least one of you be present to sign a declaration at a registered marriage office prior to your wedding so it is very important that you arrange your itinerary to allow time on a week day during business hours in Queenstown prior to your wedding day to do this.
- Two nights accommodation at Stoneridge Estate. Includes breakfast each morning, complimentary wine, fresh fruit and flowers.
- Non-exclusive use of Stoneridge Estate for your wedding ceremony.
- Fee for your New Zealand Marriage Celebrant. Your celebrant will contact you by email to put together your personalized wedding ceremony and will meet with you prior to your wedding in Queenstown to go over your wedding ceremony.
- Arrangement of a Standard New Zealand Marriage Certificate including application fee and courier of this to you at home. This is normally issued about 3 weeks after your wedding and bears the official stamp of the New Zealand Registrar of Marriages. This is accepted as proof of marriage in most countries. If you are from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, and some other countries your Marriage Certificate will require further verification, please let us know if you are from one of these countries so we can advise you of any additional fees and make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
- Our basic wedding coordination fee. This includes your own personal wedding planner to communicate with you and make all the necessary wedding arrangements on your behalf. A professional wedding coordinator will also be present on the day to assist you and to ensure that everything runs smoothly. It also includes assistance with your travel & honeymoon arrangements if required.

Legal Documentation
After your New Zealand wedding you will need a formal document to confirm the details and legal validity of your marriage for presentation in your home country. Many countries including Australia, the UK, the USA and Canada will accept the Standard New Zealand Marriage Certificate as proof of marriage (this is included in the above Wedding Package), however if you are from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and some other countries you will require Apostille Certification of your Standard New Zealand Marriage Certificate.
Apostille Certification: NZD$100.00 (we will make all the necessary arrangements on your behalf).
Countries that are not covered by the Hague Convention such as Brazil, China, Denmark, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand require that the Standard New Zealand Marriage Certificate be authenticated by the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs, then verified by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and then finally forwarded to the foreign diplomatic mission of the of the country where you reside for their verification. The cost for document authentication by this method is NZD$150.00 + the fee of the foreign diplomatic mission. Please advise us in advance if you are from one of these countries so we can make all the necessary arrangements on your behalf.
Arrangement of Two Witnesses
New Zealand law requires that two people attend and ‘witness’ your ceremony and afterwards sign your marriage documents. If you have guests attending they can be your witnesses otherwise we will arrange this for you.

Two nights accommodation at Stoneridge Estate is already included in the above wedding package. Additional nights are NZD$525.00 per couple bed and breakfast basis.

We work closely with a professional photographer in Queenstown to provide the following Wedding Photography Packages for weddings at Stoneridge Estate:
Runaway Package (Weekday weddings only)
- 2 hours of photography coverage.
- 72 shots taken on 2x35mm rolls of 36 exposure film, professionally developed to 5x7” prints (these can be mixture of colour, black & white, and cross-processed).
- All images scanned to CD.
- All photographs presented in a flip album for easy viewing and for you to take home.
- All negatives are yours to keep.
