St John of God Weddings New Zealand

The St John of God Chapel, near the Christchurch suburb of Halswell, is in the centre of a group of hospital buildings. Dating from 1910-12, it was designed for the Sisters of the Good Shepherd and was built in the perpendicular Gothic style. The interior of the building is made of exposed wood and marble and contains forty-three magnificent stained glass windows. The Chapel has excellent acoustics being originally designed with women's voices in mind and your grand entrance down the 20-metre aisle ensures your wedding in this magnificent church will be a never to be forgotten experience.
