You will be collected at the beginning of your day from the golden sands of Kaiteriteri beach by a team specifically selected by our experienced New Zealand wedding planners. Once on board the yacht you will sail across to Adele Island via a sheltered inland waterway passing the picturesque Split Apple Rock and the natural beauty of many golden beaches. During the journey, you will be served a selection of canapés and complimentary local wine.
Arguably one of the most scenic places in New Zealand to wed, our wedding planners have selected the long sand spit at Adele Island. The golden sand spit, which curves out into the bay at low water, is an ideal isle to walk down, and at the end, a quiet, reflective place to take your wedding vows.
Unhurried, you can saunter back to the top of the sand spit where your wedding breakfast will be laid out and waiting for you. Your table will be suitably decorated and protected from the heat of the New Zealand mid morning sun. Our wedding planners use their knowledge of Nelson's local produce to help you choose a menu from a wide selection of fresh, and as far as possible, spray free fruits. At a leisurely pace your personal chef will serve you with an entrée. This will be followed by a sumptuous BBQ smorgasbord. A dessert selection, together with tea or coffee, will be served on board the yacht on your return to Kaiteriteri.
Suitable for 2-12 people only - the bride & groom plus 10 others. Transport to Adele Island for additional guests can be arranged by water taxi (additional cost).
After your wedding breakfast on shore, and at a leisurely pace, you return to the yacht and we anchor close by in a secluded bay. If you have guests, we will return and drop them off at Kaiteriteri first.
Once at anchor, you will be served dinner with a complimentary local wine. Our menus on board are seasonal and lean heavily towards providing you with a gourmet selection from the abundant range of produce in our region. Your food will be carefully chosen by our chef to compliment your wedding breakfast. After dinner you will be left on board for a night on your own.
The following morning your skipper will return to serve you a leisurely breakfast onboard. Lunch is usually served at anchor in a secluded locality and then we make our way back to Kaiteriteri.
Please Note: Apart from the complimentary local wine, alcohol is not included in the price of your charter. However, you are welcome to bring your own and we are only too happy to purchase any requirements in advance. Please also advise us of any special dietary requirements as this may alter our quote for the charter.
