The Chapel is set amidst 5 hectares of beautiful water gardens and vineyards, including ponds, waterfalls, historic drays and the stone ruins of Mayne’s Hotel, dating back to 1857. Constructed from schist rock and century old Church beams with ponds and waterfalls immediately adjacent, Chapel by the Lake seeks to provide a peaceful and tranquil setting for your New Zealand wedding.

The magnificent views from both inside the Chapel and surrounding grounds make for a multitude of superb photographic opportunities. For those who want the extra height and backdrop of the mountains, a short helicopter ride is only minutes away to New Zealand’s most spectacular mountains, the ‘Remarkables’.

Chapel by the Lake is part of "Stoneridge Estate" which also includes Stoneridge Lodge offering accommodation and a wedding reception venue. Both the Chapel and Lodge are within walking distance of each other and many couples choose to marry at the Chapel and stay in the Honeymoon Cottage at the Lodge.

Available for mid-week weddings Monday to Friday & Sunday's only (surcharges may apply to Saturday weddings). It is priced for couples with no guests but can be adapted to accommodate a small number of guests if required. Additional A-La-Carte Wedding Services are available and can be added to this Wedding Package.
